If you’re in the business of construction, civil engineering or even DIY around your own home, pneumatic air-powered tools are among some of the most important to have on your side. Here at Rhinos, we’re committed to bringing you the best air tools in class. Take as a prime example the single head hand-held scabbler: this device is perfect if you need to take off steel coatings or similar, and it also works well for bush hammer profiling and keying.
Another option many Rhinos customers like are our vibrating pokers. They’re used in helping to compact wet concrete in a fast and orderly manner, and their helpful smaller size means that they can be carried around easily. They’re safe to use too, thanks to being protected by their very own steel frame.
Size isn’t everything when it comes to kitting out a job site, and as any operations manager knows, smaller tools can often save the day. Rhinos Plant Hire has kept that in mind when designing its comprehensive range of site electrics tools. Cable reels are just one example of a helpful small tool: these items are not just robust but they’re also designed for top-end, repeated performance.
Other items in our site electrics small tools range include junction/splitter boxes. These items are cased in durable polypropylene water-resistant materials, meaning that they can be used outdoors and in the rain with no problem. The cables are bound together with a cable tidy too, for maximum safety and security.
Moving away from site electrics, we’re also pleased to stock a large variety of cutting and grinding tools for you to hire. Our hydraulic block splitter is one such example, and is good for the breaking down of awkward slabs to the size that you require them.
Croydon is well known for being an innovative, forward-thinking and history-making area. It has now acquired another string to its bow by playing host to the world’s tallest modular tower construction.
101 George Street, which is 44 storeys and 135 metres high, is a residential tower block which is being built on a modular basis by Tide Construction and Vision Modular. It also comes with a 38-storey sister building, and across both there are more than 500 flats up for rent.
A spokesperson for HTA Design, the architecture practice responsible for the project, was keen to emphasise the speed of the construction process.
“We started work on the concept in February 2017 and got planning consent in December the same year,” said Simon Bayliss.
“By any standards, that is very quick for a 40-storey building,” he added.
