Each high quality piece of plant machinery in our fleet is perfect for carrying out a specific task or number of tasks. Our Mini Diggers are a big favourite for digging jobs [obviously] and can be found on many building sites, roadsides or even in gardens. Dumpers make back breaking jobs involving moving earth, concrete debris etc a walk in the park. Skidsteers are nifty little machines that lift and load in no time at all. Rollers are amazing at transforming lumpy freshly laid road surfaces into a smooth and pristine finish.
What about Telehandlers?
The Telescopic Handler is extremely versatile, and will put the likes of forklift trucks in the shade. Used extensively within construction, these machines are ideal for lifting pallets and other heavy loads. They have an impressive extendible reach, so are very helpful where there are difficult to access areas.
Given how useful these machines are, it’s a little surprising that unlike other machines, Telehandler sales declined in 2020. According to plant manufacturers and dealers this isn’t the case for other types of machinery such as Mini Diggers. After a wobbly start to 2020, sales of plant picked up later on in the year, down only 24.5% on 2019. The Construction Equipment Association reported that sales of the ever popular Mini Digger only fell by 5.5%. This is attributed to the house building sector activity and the demand for smaller machines. In contrast, Telehandler sales were down 57% with only 2,400 being sold for building use as opposed to 14,000 Mini Diggers.
At Rhinos you can hire a high performance Telehandler, from leading manufacturers Manitou for projects in Hertford. These multifunctional machines are available with a number of attachments for lifting things like : –
- Concrete blocks
