Nine Elms in South London has long since been earmarked for all kinds of redevelopment work. Now, it’s getting well underway – meaning that demand for plant hire in the area is getting high.
One of the main focal points for the redevelopment zone is Battersea Power Station. This space, which is eight million square feet in size, will soon have a variety of buildings with a whole host of purposes – like homes, hotels, offices and more.
The Embassy Gardens development, meanwhile, is set to add almost two thousand more homes to the region – as well as other buildings like a healthcare centre. And with the US Embassy already moved into its new home on Nine Elms Lane, there are already signs that this area is going to become one of London’s most prestigious over time.
Infrastructure in the area is also changing in order to keep up with its changing functions. London Underground stations are due to be built at both Nine Elms and Battersea Power Station, and the Northern Line will extend to both of them. Station fit out is expected to take place next year, while the extension is expected to open in 2020.
