It’s a well-known fact that there simply aren’t enough homes to go around to meet the needs of everyone. And that’s why the authorities, companies and more in the North London borough of Barnet are trying their best to improve access to accommodation for all groups.
Recently, construction of the new Ansell Court development was completed. Ansell Court is located in Mill Hill, and used to be known to residents as Moreton Close. In February of this year, work on the building finished – and now there are just over fifty self-contained flats, both one- and two bedroomed in size, for older residents of the area.
And that’s not all. Barnet Council has also announced that an organisation affiliated to Barnet Homes – known as Opendoor Homes – will build 320 affordable rental homes across the borough. Thirteen residences per location will be build at Basing Way in Finchley and also at Elmshurst Crescent in the same area, while another ten are due on Hertford Road.
